Amy Acre

In Insomniacs’ Sleepover, Amy Acre invites the audience on a journey from dusk to dawn (in the space of an hour), via deranged relaxation podcasts, multi-coloured noise and some light breaking and entry. This show blends poetry, theatre and storytelling to explore the truths that only come out at night. By the time the sun rises, we’ll have learnt how the amygdala works, to stop fighting ourselves and why love isn’t always the answer.

Amy Acre is a writer and performer from London. She’s featured at Latitude, Secret Garden Party, the Edinburgh Fringe and in pubs, bars and fields across the UK. Her work has appeared in Poetry Review, Poetry London, Magma and 3am Magazine, on Sky News and the London Underground. Her collection, Where We’re Going, We Don’t Need Roads, was a PBS Pamphlet Choice and one of the Poetry School’s best books of 2015.

This event is free, but donations are welcome.
